We have created a series of short videos that give a sneak preview of the Botto experience: how Bottonians give a direction to the unlimited creative capacity of Botto’s art engine.

Botto is an exploratory vessel into a future way of producing artistic expression. One where human and machine interact and learn from each other in order to create something new, supriring and interesting.

Voting is how Bottonians express their vision. In this first video, we show you what the voting process looks like. In this initial phase, voters choose between Botto’s drafts, called fragments, in pairs. By picking one or the other, and giving them a certain amount of voting points, voters decide which artwork will be minted as an NFT and sold in the weekly auctions that take place in SuperRare. Voting info is fed back to the machine and helps train the AI in the community’s tastes and interests.

In a final step of the voting phase, Bottonians interact with the leaderboard. 24 hours before the end of the voting period, the 15 most voted fragments in the platform are displayed, in a random order, within Botto’s app. The Leaderboard kicks off a sprint between the most liked fragments, that will lead to the selection of the artwork that will be minted and sold on SuperRare.

It’s not only the AI who learns from humans. Botto opens a window into our own hidden tastes and inclinations, individual and collective. To understand the relationship between the individual, the group and the AI the Botto app shows personal and group stats which provide insights into the different behaviours.
