Bridging $BOTTO to Base
1. Visit the Superbridge Interface: Go to the Superbridge App, which supports Ethereum to Base bridging for $BOTTO.
2. Select the Destination: Select Base as your destination chain.
3. Connect Your Wallet: Use your wallet (e.g., MetaMask) that holds your $BOTTO on Ethereum mainnet.
4. Select the Token: Choose $BOTTO as the token you want to bridge.
5. Enter the Amount: Specify how much $BOTTO you want to bridge to Base.
6. Confirm Two Transactions: Review the details and approve the following transactions in your wallet.
- Allowing your $BOTTO to be used/bridged.
- Confirming the bridge transaction.
Your $BOTTO will be locked in a smart contract on Ethereum, and after the bridge is confirmed, you’ll see the equivalent $BOTTO in your wallet on Base.
7. Switch to Base:
- Switch your wallet to the Base network to see your bridged $BOTTO tokens.
- If you don’t see your tokens in Metamask, click “Import Tokens” → “Custom Token” and copy the $BOTTO contract address on Base into the field and hit “Next” → “Import".

- You can now interact with Botto on the Base network; including staking and voting on fragments on the Botto App, and trading and providing liquidity for the $BOTTO token.
What Happens to Your Tokens
- Your $BOTTO tokens on Ethereum are locked in a smart contract.
- New tokens are minted on Base, reflecting your original amount.
- The total supply of $BOTTO remains unchanged, as the amount of tradable/transferable $BOTTO tokens across both chains doesn’t change. Only your balance on Base changes, corresponding to the amount locked in the smart contract on Ethereum.
This way, the Superbridge ensures that the supply of $BOTTO remains consistent across both chains while enabling users to interact with Botto on the Base chain.
Bridging $BOTTO Back to Mainnet
Note: This process will take 7 days.
1. Access Superbridge Interface: Visit the Superbridge app again, and select the Base chain - This is where you can bridge your $BOTTO tokens back to Ethereum.
2. Connect Your Wallet: Ensure your wallet is connected and set to the Base network.
3. Select $BOTTO and “Withdraw”: Choose $BOTTO as the token you wish to withdraw (bridge back) from Base, back to Ethereum.
4. Specify the Amount: Input the amount of $BOTTO you wish to bridge back to Ethereum.
5. Approve the Transaction: Review the details and approve the transaction. This will initiate the “withdraw” ie. the bridge back to mainnet
6. Wait 7 days (Challenge Period): Wait 7 days for the challenge period to complete, which ensures the transaction is valid before finalizing on Ethereum mainnet.
7. Claim your $BOTTO on Mainnet: After the 7 day challenge period, make sure your wallet is on mainnet, and confirm the transaction to claim your $BOTTO. It will now be released from the smart contract in which the $BOTTO was locked.
What Happens to Your Tokens
- Burning on Base: When bridging back to Ethereum, your $BOTTO tokens on Base are burned, reducing the supply on the Base network.
- Unlocking on Ethereum: The corresponding amount of $BOTTO tokens are unlocked from the smart contract on Ethereum, making them available for use again.
- Supply Consistency: The total supply of $BOTTO across both Ethereum and Base remains the same, ensuring that no new tokens are created or destroyed overall.
